Sad Sack where two high school guys who recorded the "Heino Us Bitch" single in a bedroom in New Paltz, NY. They recorded it on a boom box and brought it into David Belemjian's (Erl Records label boss) store with the question "do you want to hear our shitty band?". Once David Belemjian heard it he asked to press 1,000 copies. Sad Sack wanted to go into a studio to re-record but David Belemjian said it would take away from the hard edge anger that seemed natural. It reminded David of the good old early days of Pussy Galore. Sad Sack only played out for about one year in NYC and upstate New York (Albany). One guy went on to form a band called "Junk In The Trunk".
