Ethiopian singer and songwriter, singing in Amharic and TigrignayHe was born April 1943 in Adigrat, Tigray.
In young age, he was selected to be the singer of the first line-up of the Ras Hotel Band alongside Girma Beyene, formed in 1960. Later he focused on his solo career which ended in 1973 when he became accountant and left music industry.
