Latvian trumpeter and composer.

G. Freidenfeld grew up in Bolderāja, studied at the 19th secondary school in Riga and played trumpet in its brass band. He also studied at E. Dārziņš music secondary school. Played in various ensembles and orchestras, for example "Armatura" (from 1960 to 1962), then became a trumpeter of the Riga variety orchestra. 1964—1965 played in the ensemble "Zvaigznīte" during his service. Studied at the Composition Department of the Latvian State Conservatory under Ģederts Raman (1973-1975), previously graduated from the Wind Instruments Department (1965).
