Joe Cain

Real name: Joe Caiani

Effective period / Period of releases: 1965 - 1983

Latin music trumpet player, orchestra leader and producer.
Native of Philadelphia from an italian-american family, but grown up in the Bronx,
he was part of important musical ensemble and orchestras
like those of Dizzy Gillespie, Xavier Cugat, Noro Morales and Miguelito Valdes.
By the 60's. he worked as Executive-Producer for Alegre Records, MGM, Caytronics, RCA, Mercury and promoted talents like Charlie & Eddie Palmieri, La Lupe and Vicentico Valdés.
In his career he got involved in the production and supervised more than 400 albums.
During the 80's he was musical director of The Red Parrot Orchestra.
In the 90's, much of Cain's work was as an arranger for pop artists.
