The story of this band started in another called The Web that made three albums. Their last album called "I Spider" was good proto-prog music with lots of wind instruments. The line-up added an extra sax player and changed their name to SAMURAI to do this lone album.

Dave Lawson had by this album assumed the leadership of the group but as this one folded, he will join "super group" Greenslade. The music of SAMURAI resembled closely the third album of The WEB, relatively sombre and a very brassy affair.
