Real name: Māris Sirmais

Latvian conductor, born 27th June 1969 in Riga.
After studies in Latvian music schools, notably with Imants Kokars, he studied with Martin Sieghart in Graz.
In 1990, he established the youth choir 'Kamēr...' and was its artistic director and principal conductor until 2012. From 1992 to 1997 he worked with the Latvian Philharmonic women’s choir Dzintars, and since 1997 has been artistic director and chief conductor of Latvija, the Latvian State Academic Choir, as well as the International Sacred Music Festival.
