Italian band Krom changed name to Kailash in early 2006 to avoid confusion with another Italian band of the same name. This was after the insistence of Trazeroeuno who were planning to re-issue Krom's third and fourth demos into a self-titled debut album. Kailash's debut was well-received by the public and critics alike. A sophomore release, and the first to be written and recorded under the name Kailash, "Past Changing Fast", was released in 2009 to lukewarm reception. The band's third release was planned to be a compilation of Krom's first two demos but the release was cancelled. The band changed name to Hornwood Fell in 2013.
