Eloise Lewis

Highly influential American-born Bahamian musician (born Jacksonville, Florida, 1935 - died Freeport, Bahamas, 1984). Eloise was raised in Nassau, Bahamas, and grew up to be the "First Lady of Bahamian Song," singing Caribbean and Latin music, including Calypso, Merengue, Cha-cha-chá, and others. She was at her zenith of popularity in the 1950s and 1960s.
