Born in Camden, SC, moved to Nashville, TN. Landed a job with T.G. Sheppard, worked with him for 7 years. Became a country songwriter for Alan Jackson, George Strait and many other country stars.
In 1990 he turned away from country and became a Christian/Gospel singer. From 1999 onward he quit the music business and became a pastor.
