Javier Teixidor

Real name: Javier Teixidor Méndez

Javier Teixidor (b. Madrid, 1960) is a Spanish guitarist/composer who started his musical career in 1977 with "Mermelada" (previously known as Mermelada de Lentejas - 'Lentils jam') a band that played a mixture of Rhythm & Blues and Rock’n’Roll. They released six albums and became a great influence over other bands: “Coge el tren” or “Soy así” became great hits.

From 1999 he started to record as "J. Teixi Band" (with Emilio Galiacho, from Los Elegantes), with a bigger soul influence in his songs.
