Austin, Texas country/folk singer and guitarist. Poston was born and raised in Ohio. In the early 1990s, she formed bluegrass/country blues band Aunt Beanie’s First Prize Beets. She moved with the group to Austin in 1994. After the band split, she continued to perform, singing with Dale Watson and Charlie Robison, joining Ted Roddy’s Tearjoint Troubadours, and forming her own band Karen Poston & The Crystal Pistols.
