Chuck Bowers hailed from Arkansas, where he was born in 1921. Died: August 25, 1987. He was a regular on the Ozark Jubilee (Springfield, MO) and had a spot on KWTO. His acclaimed shuffler "Pig Pen Boogie" on the Kansas City Choice (6) label is one in a series he did for radio or TV appearances. In all, he recorded three songs with "Boogie" in the title. Later Bowers was on Decca for two Nashville-produced pop rockers.
