John Lushi
“Of Luunda origin, John Lushi is a guitarist and singer from Kazembe District in the Copperbelt, Northern Zambia. In the 1950s, this minor sang songs from the region accompanied by the guitar, beaten bottles imprinting the rhythm or hand claps. These songs called topical songs are small social chronicles or funeral songs.
