Real name: Ernst Åke Gotthard Arnér

Swedish organist, born 21 April 1913 in Arby, died 27 July 2002 in Dalarö.

He was cathedral organist first at Växjö Cathedral (1936-1953) and then at Storkyrkan in Stockholm. He was a teacher at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm. Arnér was a member of the Royal Academy of Music and received the title of professor in 1979. Together with the organist Alf Linder, he was a driving force in the Swedish part of the organ movement.

He was married in the years 1937-1967 to Borghild Arnér (1911-2001), and then to Barbro Arnér (1932-2019), born Månthén. The author Sivar Arnér was Gotthard's older brother and Ivar Arnér his younger.
