Imogen Carpenter

Real name: Mary Imogene Carpenter Feldman

American musician, composer, music lecturer, and Broadway actress.
Born "Mary Imogene Carpenter" on February 2, 1912 in Hot Springs, Arkansas Died March 24, 1993 in Los Angeles California.
She attended the Chicago Musical College and later the Boguslawski School of Music. She began as a concert pianist; then led her own orchestra, and was a singer and pianist in night clubs, on radio, and in theatres. She was married to Milton Feldman, a Hollywood movie producer.
She frequently collaborated with songwriter Lenny Adelson, as well as Kim Gannon on writing songs, with her composing the music and them writing the lyrics.
