Real name: Héctor Bisignani

Brazilian-based Argentinian sax and flute player (b. Buenos Aires, 1934), settled in São Paulo since 1956.
He was part of Bossa Rio (Sérgio Mendes band) from 1962 to 1964. In 1964, he founded his own band, Hector Costita Sexteto, recording the seminal album "Impacto".
From 1973 to 1981, Costita joined the Nelson Ayres big band.
He has performed and recorded with artists such as Astor Piazzolla, Lalo Schifrin, Manfredo Fest, Sérgio Mendes, Erlon Chaves, Zimbo Trio, Hermeto Pascoal and Elis Regina.
In 2023, he toured as special guest of singer Ithamara Koorax, on the tour that celebrated 60 years of the "Getz/Gilberto" album.
