Effective period / Period of releases: 1967 - 1979

Shuli Natan (born March 16, 1947 in London) is an Israeli folk singer and guitarist. In 1967, as a then unknown 20 year old, she was chosen by Naomi Shemer to sing Yerushalayim Shel Zahav (Jerusalem of Gold) at the Israeli Song Festival in 1967. That performance and her subsequent recording of the song made her an instant star both in Israel and internationally and is still considered Israel's single greatest hit. Natan sings in Hebrew, English, French, Ladino and Spanish. She released 13 original albums between 1967 and 2011 and is still active as of 2016 and lives in Ra'anana, Israel.
