Born: March 5th, 1945, in Uljin-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do.
Died: November 30th, 2008, from complications due to lung cancer.

Discovered by Shin Joong Hyun at a nightclub in Daegu, he debuted in 1970 with side 1 of "기다려 주오 / 무소식이 희소식 (신중현 작편곡집)," or "Wait for me / No news is good news (Songs by Shin Jung-hyun)."
He continued releasing albums until 1975, where he decided to pursue a life as a business man in the trade businesses of both South Korea and the United States of America.
He released two comeback albums, one in 1980, and the other in 1992.
