In its present form Arcana Obscura exists since 1990. Its musical work started more than a decade ago: originally working in the experimental field (like, e.g. Tangerine Dream, Brian Eno, Vangelis) there has been more and more influence from the sound of the 80ies ( Kraftwerk, Cabaret Voltaire, DAF). After the last period as "BIZARRGGHHH", using various tape-recorders and old analogue sequencers, finally as ARCANA OBSCURA also computers and samplers took part in the music. The old equipment, of course, which has been collected and developed for many years, still plays an important role in ARCANA OBSCURA’s sounds.
