Gothic Rock band from Bielefeld/Germany, founded in 1998.

About 3 years after Zulus withdrawal as the frontman of REPTYLE, the East
Westphalian Goth Rock Band has relaunched their line-up with Kai
Roarside on lead vocals to open up a new
chapter in the band's 22-year running history.

Musically, they leave the latest, more rock influenced album „Night and the River“ from 2014 as a description of the status quo at that time in the rear-view behind and reflect on the new song material the early days' spirit, influenced by Trad Goth and Wave. In 2019 REPTYLE released the 7“ split single „Hibernation“ (+ THE HOUSE OF USHER), the title track was audibly inspired by the pioneers of the genre. Soundwise between THE CHAMELEONS and THE MISSION, the song has already made it's way onto numerous playlists and dark clubs' dance floors. In November 2021 the full album „Decrypt the void“ was released. The pre-released clip „Bless the Dead“ would also be taken as an unreleased THE SISTERS OF MERCY track of their early days and underlines the „Back-to-the-roots“ transformation.

2022 is characterized by the elaborate shooting of the atmospheric and mystical video clip to the title track of REPTYLE`s current album and some festival appearances (NEW WAVES DAY, THESE DAY FESTIVAL) together with bands like PINK TURNS BLUE, GARY NUMAN among others.

The veils of 2023 are slowly clearing, giving a glimpse of our future plans with FIELDS OF THE NEPHILIM and THEN COMES SILENCE…
