Pietro Bianchi Free Music

Pietro Bianchi

Swiss multi-instrumentalist, born in 1953 in Giubiasco/Ticino. He studies piano under Jean-Jaques Hauser and receives his PhD degree in musical science at the University of Paris in 1979.
In 1972, he starts to perform with the band Lyonesse and plays concerts in duet with Roberto Maggini. He performs his scientific work on examination of Folklore music, especially alpine Volksmusik, for the Swiss broadcaster RTSI. He played in several bands and gained awards, such as the Ascona cultural award in 1984 and the "Vincenzo Falchetto"-award in 1990.
