Mabuta Ellison
Real name: Mabuta A. Ellison
Mabuta "Mabooda" Ellison (born June 20, 1971 - January 3, 2020) was a Dallas-based hip-hop artist who was active from the 1990's through the 2010's. He made his recording debut at 16 years old on the album Da Buddha Klan in 1996 as a member of the group Da Buddha Klan. Mentored by Dallas hip-hop pioneer Big Al (9), Mabooda was invited to join Big Al as the other half of the re-tooled group Nemesis (3). Mabooda contributed with his lyrics and song writing on Nemesis' final full-length album Munchies For Your Bass - Da Return as well as on other local hip-hop projects over the next decade.
