American rhythm & blues singer and actress.Best remembered for accompanying band leaders Gene Krupa and Red Saunders.

She sang on the radio, beginning at the age of five and up into her teens, when she began working with various society dance orchestras around New York City. She joined Gene Krupa's band next. It was readily apparent how early she had started singing and how well she controlled her voice since Billboard commented in its October 4, 1947) issue, "Youngster showed a load of personality and a stage presence remarkable in one so young." With Red Saunders and his Orchestra, Hawkins recorded “Hambone;” she also cut four sides with the Four Lads in 1952.
Dolores Hawkins performed the title song for the 1956 film "A Kiss Before Dying." In 1960, she sang two songs in MGM's remake of "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn."
Her husband Don Seat was her manager.
