American pedal steel guitarist, guitarist, and bassist from Queens, New York. During his life, Schulman lived in Austin, Texas, and Los Angeles, California, before moving to Anchorage, Alaska.

Not the same person as Stuart Schulman, a violinist/bassist/pianist active in the folk scene from the 1970s to present.
