Lola has been active in New York City's house and music scene since the late 1990s. She is a yoga teacher, DJ, label owner, producer, and writer. Lola ran the deep house party "Deep See" with Eric "EMan" Clark and DJ Spider for nearly 10 years. In 2008, Lola joined DJ Spider in running Plan B Recordings. She began producing music as Dakini9 in 2010. In 2013, she founded the label Sound Warrior Recordings with Jenifa Mayanja to help promote women electronic music producers.
