Real name: Carly Baker, Gemma Sebburn

Effective period / Period of releases: 2000

UK female pop duo, Carly and Gemma, put together by the Japanese record company Fuji International. They recorded their debut single ‘Hello Kitty’ in 2000, named after the popular Japanese character and released it on F2 Records in the UK during March 2001. Their follow up single, due May-June the same year, was to be a pop cover version of The Cure’s ‘In Between Days’ but was never commercially released. Carly went on to sign with BMG Records as part of another pop band, SW1, co-writing with Kasabian, Gary Barlow, Lucie Silvas and other major songwriters around the world.
