Die Bambis were originally founded in 1959 and active in their first line-up till 1967. When the band split up, lead singer Mandy Oswald continued to use the name, now as Mandy Und Die Bambis. Their program compromised old original Bambis songs and new schlagers. They were active till 1990, at some point with reunion of the old original line-up around 1984.
Mandy Oswald still sings from time to time and got honored by the City of Vienna for his over 7000 live performances.
