Michael Andrews (born November 17, 1967) is an American musician and film score composer. Originally the lead singer for The Origin, Michael Andrews began his career in the college rock scene with long time friend Gary Jules. After Jules left The Origin before putting out their first album, Andrews continued with The Origin. After two financially unsuccessful albums for Virgin records, The Origin disbanded.

Andrews went on to play and produce for various artists including his old friend Gary Jules. His latest hit was doing an acoustic cover of Tears For Fears' "Mad World" for the Donnie Darko soundtrack which charted well in the UK.
