Bowa

Real name: Craig Dalton

Effective period / Period of releases: 1991 - 1995

DJ Bowa was part of the original team of DJs that included DJ Welly, DJ Kenny Grogan, John Waddicker, MC Bibi, and MC Dredd, who worked together to make the Pleasuredrome in Farnworth a massive success back in 1991-92. It was there that he began his DJ career, warming up for Kenny Grogan/Kenny Underground upstairs.

Stints at the Buzz Club in Preston soon followed in 1992 before Bowa took up his residency in the second room at Bowlers. It began to establish itself as the place to be in 1992. As the nights continued to grow, Bowa was given a well-deserved spot in the main room at Bowlers in 1994, which he made his own in no time at all!

He remained one of the main resident DJs at Bowlers until 1996, when he took up the residency at the now legendary Wigan Pier on Saturday nights alongside DJ Welly, where he remained for many years. He has also had a very successful career as a recording artist and producer, knocking out some massive Northern anthem tracks like "Different Story," which was a massive track in the '90s.

He still continues to grace the turntables at premier old skool nights up and down the UK, and it’s always a pleasure to have him behind the decks.

The Bowlers reunion over the last 5 years has been outstanding with the original DJ line-ups from back in the day, with top guests like K Klass, DJ Nipper, DJ Vertigo, Bassheads, plus many more original acts and DJs.
