Gevorg Dabaghyan

Real name: Gevorg Gourgeni Dabaghyan

Gevorg G. Dabaghyan (Armenian: Գևորգ Դաբաղյան) is a duduk player, born in Yerevan, Armenia in 1965.

Dabaghyan was also one of the first virtuosos to perform excerpts from the Divine Liturgy of the Armenian church on the duduk. He is famous for his interpretations of the works of Sayat Nova, and his performances of traditional Armenian folk music. He received his Master’s degree at the Yerevan State Conservatory, where he now is now a lecturer. In addition to performing in the Silk Road Ensemble, he is the leader of the Shoghaken Folk Ensemble.
