Kenneth Macdonald

Scottish tenor, born in Iona, in the Outer Hebrides, in 1928. He initially studied violin, but started studying singing at around 17. He joined the Covent Garden Opera Chorus in 1946. He joined the Light Opera Company, before going freelance for a number of years, eventually rejoining the Covent Garden Oopera. He died of a heart attack during a London Opera Centre rehearsal in October 1970.
