Navrang, who has been performing since 1999, is one of the pioneers of electronic world music in Hungary. The ever-evolving collective has given great success at many festivals in Europe, featuring rare instruments, noisers and matching video animation. In their music, the finely crafted yet "heavy" electronic sound is in tune with the virtuoso playing of ancient, authentic instruments. Their latest album, Main Bazaar, released in 2009, draws on Balkan melodies, incorporates Eastern rhythms, and sometimes spices it with MC's clever lyrics.
