Doo wop group from Philadelphia, PA, U.S.Formed as the Mel-tones in high school, in 1956. Comprised of Johnny October (a.k.a. Johnny Ottobre) (lead), Ernie Spano (bass), Eddie Gentile (tenor), Pat Marioni (baritone). They became the back-up group for Frankie Avalon and Fabian (6) and two of their members, Johnny October and Ernie Spano joined The Four J's in the early 60's.
