Founded in 1998, from London, as a collaboration project for Techno Animal (Kevin Martin, Justin K. Broadrick) and Alec Empire, Curse of the Golden Vampire debuted with an eponymous LP of fiery industrial-strength breakbeat, released on Empire's Digital Hardcore label under the name Animal Empire. Five years later, Mass Destruction appeared on Ipecac, without the participation of Empire.
