José Salvador started in 1988 the Portland Sound Studios, the Portland Music Publishing (a division of EMI Music) and TINK! Records one of the initial House labels in the Netherlands. José Salvador a.k.a. Joseph Salvador a.k.a. Zé Salvador writes, produces and plays in groups as Black Tulip, MDA Groove, Electronic Voodoo, Digital Cartel, Lowlife Winners and Thyone Girls.
TINK! Records and Black Tulip featuring Wendell Morrison were pioneers of the US Garage and Soulful House in the Netherlands.
