American composer-conductor, & string instrumentalist, husband of Joni James.
Born 10 May 1925 Beacon, Dutchess County, New York.
Died 27 Sep 1986 (aged 61) Miami, Miami-Dade County, Florida.

He married singer Joni James in 1956 and was brother of songwriter Nick Acquaviva.
Like his brother, he often performed and is credited under the name "Acquaviva".
He served as his wife's manager, producer and conductor. He and his brother are often mixed up because of the single name credits; however, Tony Acquaviva did not compose songs which Joni James recorded. Tony was the founder of the New York Pops Symphony Orchestra.
