The band is actually Jazz Orient, but ARC Music didn't like the word jazz so invented this alternative name. They also promoted blind Indian multi-instrumentalist Baluji Shrivastav as the leader. Also featured were Chris Conway (The Rain Garden, Planet Scanners, etc.) plus female jazz singer/dancer Linda Shanovitch. They played a music that sits somewhere between Indian music and high-tech fusion.
