Eugene Osborne Smith is a poet, singer/songwriter, actor, filmmaker and communicator. His credits include recording "The Wizardry Of Oz Smith" for Capitol Records and "The Eyes Of Love" for Argo Records. He created the role of Persil Le Noir in Broadway's original Irma La Douce. He wrote the music for Ian Hugo's Ai-Ye which won Best Musical Score at the Venice and Edinburgh Film Festivals. His film credits include featured roles in Strays and She's The One . He's also appeared in TV commercials for Microsoft, Disney, and General Electric. Additionally, he received the Negro Actor's Guild's Paul Robeson Protégé Award and the W.C. Handy's Star of Tomorrow Award for Best Singer/Composer.
