Real name: Victorio Vergara Batista

Panamanian accordionist and orchestra leader, Victorio Vergara Batista (aka “El Tigre de la Candelaria”, “El Mandamás” and “Lleno Completo”) was born in 1944 in a small town called La Candelaria (Paraiso), located in Pocrí, Los Santos. He was one of the best accordion players in Panama, along with the other legends such as Dorindo Cárdenas and Osvaldo Ayala. He and his group recorded more than twenty albums and released more than 100 singles (such as “Alejate de mí”, “La Viudita de La Miel”, “Para el cedro me voy”, “La Cumpleañera”, “Te recuerdo y te extraño”, “Pecado de amor” and so on). Unfortunately, he died of a stroke on 1998.
