German violinist and composer (* 08 August 1891 in Siegen, German Empire; † 09 June 1952 in Guilford, Vermont, United States). Swiss citizen since 1935.
He was the brother of Fritz Busch and Hermann Busch, father of Irene Busch and father-in-law of Rudolf Serkin, and grandfather of horn player John Serkin, pianist Peter Serkin, and cellist Judith Serkin.
Founder with Rudolf Serkin of the Marlboro Music Festival.
