Jack Hale, Sr.

Real name: Jack D. Hale

Jack Hale, Sr. is an American trombonist, composer and arranger, born in Memphis, Tennessee. Former member of The Memphis Horns.
Apart from many Stax recordings, he played on most Al Green and Ann Peebles tracks for Hi Records, on several Elvis Presley records and on many C&W records.

Don't confuse him with his son Jack Hale, Jr., who is a trumpet player and the musical right hand of Johnny Cash.
