Real name: Eleonora Turovsky (born Leonova)

Classical violinist, born September 1939 in Moscow, died March 2nd, 2012 in Montreal.
She studied at the Moscow Conservatory and taught at the Ippolitov-Ivanov College of Music from 1964 to 1976. She left the Soviet Union in 1976 with her family and settled in Montreal. She became a naturalized Canadian in 1980. She was the concertmaster of I Musici De Montréal, the chamber orchestra founded by her cellist husband Yuli Turovsky in 1983 and in which their daughter Natalya Turovsky also played violin. Eleonora taught violin and viola at the Université de Montréal from 1991 to 2012. She was also an accomplished painter.
