Real name: Мелик Сергей Христофорович = Melik Sergey Khristoforovich

(May 13, 1924 - June 24, 1992)
Member of the Composers' Union, artistic director of the Moskontsert workshop of pop instrumentalists, conductor of the pop theater, Honored Artist of the RSFSR. With his direct participation, such ensembles as Самоцветы, Поющие Сердца, Весёлые Ребята, Лейся, Песня, Пламя and others were born and acquired mastery. In 1976 he created the VIA Алые Маки and became its artistic director.
