American 1970s bluegrass gospel group from Georgia.
Unrelated to the New York-based Pell Brothers.
Also known as The Georgia Boys. Members included brothers Windell Pell - Guitar, Wayne Pell - Mandolin, Hershel Pell - Bass, & Dallas Pell - Banjo. Windell was the bandleader & main original songwriter.
The Pell Brothers began in 1951, recorded mainly in the 1970's & played at into the 2020's. There have been other brothers & other members in the group. Hershel was sometimes producer & the band's manager. Another brother, DeLain Pell, toured with the group but may/may not have recorded with them. He played piano/guitar & sang mostly bass.
Pell Brothers record labels included Pell Bros. Records & its subsidiary Spring Records.
