Fred Melé
Real name: Frédéric Adrien
French bandleader, composer and conductor born 1884 in Algeria and died November 19, 1961.Described as the "French Paul Whiteman" and began his bandleader career in 1921. Later (1924-25) he was directing the band at the Casino de Paris for Mistinguett's revues. In the 1930s he was the bandleader at the Rex Cinema.
He also recorded prolifically as an accompanist to many singers.
