Founded in 1964, the Traditional Jazz Band (TJB) is formed by Alcides Lima (Cidão) (drums, washboard), Edo Callia (piano), Eduardo "Dudu" Bugni (banjo and guitar), William Anderson (Trombone), Carlos Chaim (bass), Austin Roberts (trumpet) and Marcos Mônaco (clarinet, alto sax, tenor sax, soprano sax and flute).
The group has performed hundreds of shows in Brazil and abroad, including stakes in several prominent Jazz Festivals in the cities of New Orleans, California, Washington, Boston and in countries such as Argentina, Uruguay, Chile and Paraguay. "We are the only jazz band cataloged in museums and international jazz festivals," says the drummer of Traditional Jazz Band, Alcides "Cidão" Lima.
