Kabaret Starszych Panów

Real name: Jeremi Przybora and Jerzy Wasowski

Effective period / Period of releases: 1962 - 2000

Members: Jeremi Przybora, Jerzy Wasowski, Wiesław Gołas, Czesław Roszkowski

"Older Gentlemen Two! Frost on the head, no longer health, and still in the heart! ”. Jeremi Przybora and Jerzy Wasowski sang this refrain at the beginning of each episode of "Kabaret Starszych Panów". It was, however, only coquetry. When they first appeared on the air in 1958, they were in their forties with a little compress.
Twenty-year-olds could envy their creativity and vigor, as well as successes in close relations with representatives of the opposite sex (especially Przybor, famous for their romances). The plot of the cabaret was roughly always the same. Older gentlemen A (Wasowski) and B (Przybora) were approached by girls experiencing personal troubles. This resulted in surreal sketches based on a surprising play on words, full of references to literature, everyday life in the People's Republic of Poland and male and female allusions.
