Synthpop / Alternative Rock from La Plata, Argentina. Formed in 1999 by Ciudadano Toto, Rudie Martínez and Fabio Rey Pastrello. Adicta is considered one of the most important and influential acts of the 2000's Underground / Alternative scene. They released five studio albums and two EPs. They were noted by their melancholic, existential and poetic lyricism, as well as their gothic aesthetic and the androgynous voice of lead singer Ciudadano Toto.
The band went through several lineup changes, with the most well-known being the duo of Toto and Rudie in their 2003 album Adicta - Miedo, and the full-band lineup that started in their 2005 album Adicta - Día De La Fiebre, consisting of Ciudadano Toto, Rudie Martínez, Julian Fraus Horita, Sergio Sotomayor and Mariano López.
The band broke up in 2012.
In May 24th 2015, lead singer Ciudadano Toto was found dead.
