Javier López De Guereña
Real name: Javier López De Guereña
Spanish guitarist, born in Bilbao in 1957. Music for television ("Pares y Nines", "Siempre Perdiendo" Telediario), and for films ("Miss Caribe, "Arena en los bolsillos"...).In 1984 founds the jazz band "Jazz El Destripador" (Jazz The Ripper), with Andreas Prittwitz (saxes, recorder), Ángel Muñoz (El Reverendo, piano and keyboards), Juanjo Garcia (electric bass), later replaced by Fernando Anguita (contrabass), Antonio Calero (drums) and Jimmy Rios (percussion). Arranger in Miguel Ríos & La Peugeot Big Band tour (1997).
He has composed songs for Toreros Muertos, Ana Belén, Manolo Tena... From 1984 on he works with Javier Krahe as guitarist, composer, arranger, producer...
