Ulrich Burkhardt was a dramatic advisor and artistic directorat German theatres. After studying theatre science in Leipzig he worked as author and reviewer also. In 1985 he exiled to Western Germany. From 1990 on he directed the Meininger Theater and made it one of the most recognized German theatres of the 90s.
